The Emmy-winning Babylon 5 brought many exciting innovations to science fiction television. Computer-generated effects, five-year story arcs, and elaborate mythology made this series stand apart from what came before and point the next generation of sci-fi/fantasy series in bold new directions.
I have been a fan of Babylon 5 from the beginning, well written, directed, acted and produced consider its budge was on a shoestring a brilliant series, worth watching. Star trek DS9 did actually steal the concept of Babylon 5 which is a shame as i feel the series even after the movies had so much more to say and the fandom was strong and loyal. I am extremely curious with this new series coming out and as 5 of the cast members have passed away.

well to be honest so far i have hated voyager and captain janeway the most.
She was not a good captain... I'd have preferred it if 7 had taken over... I mean she basically took over the show but yeah, Janeyway was the worst!

B5 have a special place in my heart.
It was my first show with an arc (over 5+ seasons mind you) and I simply LOVED it.
Theres now chat about a reboot and Im scared.... :D
without comparison otherwise heres a rare JMS apperance:
this technical rubbish is so often in many series to make it look more "cool"

I've read somewhere, that writers for DS9, or Voyager were forced to invent and place some rubbish non-important technical talk just to fill the time of episodes, haven't had that impression in B5, however I've seen only a handful of episodes from Voyager and DS9 and I'm just finishing first season of Enterprise.

crusade is a spinoff, yes. babylon 5 is magnificent, but crusade is... well.... not so good. it might have gotten there eventually, but it was canceled after one season.
It seemed like in the middle, since the last episode looked like one to suggest solutions or even ends some part of the plot.
yeah, you are right. never really went anywhere
